Cogent Venture Partners is an independent advisory firm based in Copenhagen, Denmark. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Cogent Venture Partners is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What data we collect
When you submit the contact form on this website, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organisation name
- The nature of your enquiry
We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics, and we do not collect any data through automated means beyond what you voluntarily submit.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on a potential engagement. We will not use your details for unsolicited marketing, and we will not share them with third parties.
4. Legal basis for processing
Processing is based on your consent, given by submitting the contact form, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).
5. How long we keep your data
We retain contact enquiries for up to 24 months. If an engagement follows, data relevant to that engagement is retained for as long as is necessary for legal and business purposes, typically up to 5 years.

Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.dk)

7. Third-party services
The contact form is processed by Formspree, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Formspree processes form submissions in accordance with GDPR. No other third-party data processors are used on this site.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
